Summary:
The National Bullying Prevention campaign, initiated in 2006 as a one-week event, has evolved into a month-long initiative that encourages everyone to take an active role in bullying prevention. Bullying can have severe impacts, including school avoidance, decreased self-esteem, depression, and even self-harm. During October, communities and schools nationwide come together to raise awareness about bullying prevention through events, activities, outreach, and education. This month provides an opportunity to educate students and staff on the importance of preventing bullying in our schools and to equip students with the knowledge and tools to address bullying situations effectively.
