Summary:
|
In room F3 at Silver Valley HS, the staff reported a peculiar odor in the room which was described as a 'strong musty' odor. Because of the smell, the classroom has been temporarily relocated to another room on campus.
The source of the smell could not be located by District staff, so we enlisted the help of a professional air quality testing company, Citadel EHS. They took air samples of the room and the adjacent rooms for comparison purposes. The test results showed that the floor, in room F3 contained higher levels of moisture than normal. As a result of those tests, Citadel EHS recommended replacing the floor as the first step to eliminate the strong musty odor.
